Pray for our Soldiers, Airmen, Seamen and Marines constantly not only after tragedy. I know this is off topic but I want to spend some time reflecting on the Fort Hood incident. First of all, I want to pray for the families of the soldiers that died yesterday. There is no way to prepare for something like that. I also would encourage others to pray for the injured soldiers that they will have a strong recovery. But the more important issue I would like to raise is constant prayer. I hope you pray daily for the people and situations that are important to you. God does want to hear from you, he states he wants us to come to him and ask him for guidance and the stuff we need, he wants to be involved in your life. I wonder thou if when you hear about soldiers dying on US soil are the first time you are praying for those soldiers. Fort Hood is a readiness center for soldiers that are being sent to war are you praying for them then. I encourage you to be in constant prayer for our soldiers, everyday not only when it is needed most. As I heard a man on the radio say today,” We don’t get an oil change in a motor that has been blown up; we need to do maintenance before that time.” Point being we need to be doing maintain prayer before a terrible event. I also encourage you to pray for the man who caused this horrific event. I will pray for his healing and pray for his family.
Important Scriptures:
1 Thessalonians 5:16-18 (New International Version): Be joyful always; pray continually; give thanks in all circumstances, for this is God's will for you in Christ Jesus.
